With the holiday break quickly approaching, Washington is looking at its last truly productive week of the 2025 calendar year. This will be followed by two weeks of relative quiet, we hope. As such, there is the typical rush of scheduling last-minute meetings, sealing deals (e.g. water disputes between US & Mexico), and publishing notices in the Federal Register before everyone skips town. Conversely, we are seeing SCOTUS almost certainly punt on a decision on Trump's IEEPA tariffs into January. As such, there is a lot to report this week, and much to read-out for next week.
